Vimo SEWA's Insurance Products

Vimo SEWA offers three different integrated insurance packages, which include coverage for death, sickness and loss of assets. The three packages have varying levels of premium and corresponding sums insured (Table 1).

SEWA Insurance for women worker and their spouse and family

Additionally, members who choose the fixed deposit-linked premium payment option get maternity benefits and reimbursements for purchase of hearing aids and dentures.

SEWA has linked up with various nationalized and private insurance companies for its insurance schemes over the past 16 years.

Note: Fixed premium means that the member deposits a fixed amount in her own name in SEWA Bank. The interest accrued from the deposit goes towards payment of premium, thereby ensuring continuous and long term insurance coverage.

Special Products

The children’s health insurance covers all the children in the family for a annual premium of Rs. 100.

Maximum annual coverage for all children in a family : Rs. 2500

Special Benefits for Fixed Premium Women Members
( Eligible after completing one year of Vimo SEWA membership )

Maternity Benefits : Rs. 300
Dentures : Rs. 600
Hearing Aid : Rs. 1000
